Miller's House Care offers several house watching programs, unique to the particular wants of each individual customer. In general, Phil Miller offers daily or weekly home and property inspections. On a routine basis, Mr. Miller runs down a list of items, of which some of the many are listed below.
Listed below are some items we check for:
- Electricity is on
- Phone is working
- Check that there are no water leaks
(skylight, roof, chimney, pipes, windows and/or doors)
- Furnace/boiler is working and in good repair
- Check that there are no frozen pipes
- Chimney damper is closed
- Make sure that all windows and doors are locked
- Storm damage
- Check that any repair work has been done properly
- Water all plants where necessary
- During the winter months a low temperature monitor is checked 3 times a day 7 days a week to make sure that the heat is still on
Any problem found in the home, is handled immediately and the homeowner is notified right away. The most obvious benefit for having a house watcher is for prevention or resolution of situations in the home. Taking care of problems early on, may save the homeowner the hassle of dealing with costly repairs. No alarm system can detect leaks, frozen pipes, odors of furnaces needing repair. No alarm system can detect broken refrigerators, mice, or outdoor water needing to be drained down.
Phil Miller does his best to ensure that each home is ship shape when the owner is away, leaving no surprises upon the owner’s return. Call Phil Miller today and find out more about his house watching programs.
