Miller's House Care - Housewatching Service for the Hamptons

Miller's House Care offers several house watching programs to fit the needs of the individual customer. In general, we offer daily or weekly visits to your home here on the eastern end of Long Island. Miller's House Care has a 24-hour emergency response service available to all our customers. On a routine basis, we inspect the inside and outside of the home.

Listed below are some items we check for:

Check that the electricity is on

Check that the phone is working

Check that there are no water leaks
(skylight, roof, chimney, pipes, windows and/or doors)

Check that the furnace/boiler is working and in good repair

Check that there are no frozen pipes

Check that the chimney damper is closed

Check for any storm damage

Check that any repair work has been done properly

Water all plants where necessary

During the winter months a low temperature monitor is checked 3 times a day 7 days a week to make sure that the heat is still on

Any problem found in your home is handled immediately. Usually, the home owner is notified right away. If there is an emergency, for instance there is no heat, we contact the fuel company and coordinate access for that day.

The most obvious benefit of having a house watcher is preventing or resolving potential problems in your home before they become big problems.
